Though Harry Potter is the highest grossing film franchise, according to Forbes, Lord of the Rings is a serious contender with its future additions of The Hobbit. The latest movie in the Lord of the Rings series is out tomorrow, but Warner Bros. has split the original book by J.R.R. Tolkien.
