King’s Delight, a Gainesville, Ga. establishment, is recalling approximately 1,572 pounds of frozen chicken nuggets labeled as gluten-free because they contain wheat, a known allergen that is not declared on the label, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

Motorists using I-80/94 and I-65 will have to deal with overnight lane restrictions next week. INDOT reports starting Monday through Friday, crews will be out patching potholes, smoothing rough pavement, and that work will be rescheduled if the weather becomes a factor. All four-lanes of U-S 30, just west of Valparaiso, near Joliet Road are being shut down again to get those power lines back up after a car struck a utility pole around 10-o'clock this morning. Just west of Valparaiso, both directions of US 30 and part of Joliet Road are shut down after a car struck a utility pole around 10-o'clock this morning. Chief Tim Beach with Union Fire Rescue tells us a car struck a utility pole on the north side of US 30 at Joliet, knocking the pole completely down, and sending power lines across the highway. Valparaiso Police say an elderly man reported missing by his wife Thursday night was found safe about two-and-a-half hours later. Police say the 82-year-old man, who was reported to have early stages of dementia, had left his home to pick-up dinner from a local restaurant when he failed to return after nearly two-hours. Authorities say a 28-year-old Gary man became the victim of homicide Thursday. The Lake County Coroners office says Gerardo Mejia suffered a gunshot wound at his home in the 200 block of Gerry Street, and was pronounced dead shortly after 10 am at Methodist Northlake Campus in Gary. The Lake County Coroners office says a 23-year-old Dyer man was pronounced dead at Franciscan St. Margaret Health Dyer shortly before 7:30 Thursday morning after a bus versus pedestrian accident. Indiana Governor Mike Pence got his flu shot Thursday, receiving the flu vaccine in the Governor's Office. The state health department has been encouraging Hoosiers get the flu vaccine, which is still available across the state. The 2012/13 flu season has been severe across the nation, with a higher number of hospitalizations and deaths than in recent years. Flu season typically lasts from October through May, so it's not too late to become vaccinated.

The Bicentennial Commission recently approved four new Bicentennial Nature Trust projects, including two in northwest Indiana.

Suspect Remains At-Large after Highland Burglary

Highland Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man accused of being involved in a burglary this morning. The Times reports an 18 year old Chicago man was apprehended, but that another man, believed to be 35 year old Timothy Colbern, of Hammond, remains at large. Published reports say the burglary took place in the 32-hundred block of Eder, just before 11 this morning, and as a precaution, schools in the vicinity operated under a lock-in through the rest of the school day.
