NATO 3 Found Not Guilty of Terrorism Charges

A jury in Chicago has found three protesters not guilty of terrorism charges, after being accused of planning to ignite Molotov cocktails during the 2012 NATO Summit. ABC News reports the three men Brent Betterly, Jared Chase, and Brian Church, were each found guilty of two counts of mob action, but were spared the more serious terrorism charges. The men dubbed the NATO 3 were accused of building and plotting to use homemade bombs with targets including President Obama's campaign headquarters, police stations, and Mayor Rahm Emanuel's home. Defense attorneys argued that the three were goaded by two undercover police informants, and were too stoned and drunk to ever go through with the plans.
