Hwy Worker Survives Being Pinned Between 2 Plow Trucks

A LaPorte County highway worker is going to be okay after being pinned between two snow trucks today. The Times reports Joseph Skalka was flown to a South Bend hospital for his injuries which were sustained when he walked between the two trucks to remove a chain after one of the trucks got stuck in the snow at 400 North and Malaga Drive near Michigan City. According to the article, the 56 year old was pinned by his chest between the two trucks when one of the truck drivers, who didn't notice him, backed up.
