GM Recall Over Faulty Ignition Switches

General Motors is recalling close to 800-thousand Pontiac G-Fives and Chevy Cobalts from 2005 to 2007 because of an issue that has played a role in 6 fatal crashes. ABC News reports the cause is all that stuff many of us have on our key chains.
Faulty ignition switches on the cars can shut down engines without warning and airbags may not deploy. GM says the cause of the problem is heavy key chains pulling on ignition switches. GM is telling owners in the meantime to get rid of heavy key chains and ignition switches will be replaced for free.
