Pelath: Session So Far an Unproductive Failure

Indiana House Democratic leader Scott Pelath, of Michigan City, on Friday spoke on how this session of the General Assembly has not been productive. Pelath says the Republican majorities in the State House and Senate have rejected the Governor's bad ideas, offered no ideas of their own and have not invested in the Middle Class. Pelath says some ideas pursued by the House Democratic Caucus, including a state-wide exchange, healthcare expansion, letting Hoosiers vote on whether to raise the minimum wage and ways to invest in our best and brighest to keep them from leaving Indiana, which he says did not get a hearing.
Pelath called this session a miserable and unproductive failure and says Hoosiers need to ask themselves what exactly are they getting from these two Super Majorities.
