Illinois is observing Severe Weather Preparedness Week this week, and residents are urged to review safety procedures in the event of a tornado, strong winds or flash flood.  Tornado sirens are being tested in counties across Illinois today as part of a statewide emergency preparedness drill that was scheduled for 10-o'clock this morning Central Time. More than 50 tornadoes were reported to have touched down last year in Illinois. This is also national Severe Weather Preparedness Week. Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Indiana is March 16-22.
