Chicago Considers Soldier Field Expansion

The city of Chicago is considering the thought of adding five-thousand seats to Soldier Field, with an eye toward a possible pitch for bringing the Super Bowl to the city. More places to sit would also mean more revenue when special events like the Blackhawks game this past weekend are held at the venue. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago Park District, which operates Soldier Field on behalf of the city, are reportedly in the very early stages of discussing an expansion.
