Daily Sugar Intake Should Be 5% of Your Total Calories

A wake-up call for those with a sweet tooth.  ABC News reports the World Health Organization says your daily 'sugar intake' should be just five-percent of your 'total calories.' That's half of what the agency previously recommended. A WHO 'expert panel' has come up with the recommendation after reviewing some nine-thousand studies. The bottom line...dropping 'sugar intake' to that level will combat obesity and cavities...and that includes sugars added to foods and those present in 'honey, syrup and fruit juice.
