Toddler's Death Ruled Homicide

In Lansing, the death of a two-year-old girl has been ruled a homicide. The Cook County medical examiner's office says the victim, Jahariah Patterson, died of multiple blunt force trauma injuries caused by child abuse. Authorities say the toddler was found unresponsive Wednesday afternoon after responders were called to a home in the 179-hundred block of Wildwood Avenue. Police continue to investigate.
