Renovated Hospital Gift Ghop Resembles a Boutique

St Anthony rededicates gift shop
Visitors to the renovated gift shop at Franciscan St. Anthony Health in Crown Point will likely be doing "double-takes," as the hospital gift shop provides 'more of a boutique-type experience.  According to a St. Anthony press release, the two-week process resulted in the addition of display windows, updated electrical equipment, new paint, carpeting, merchandise and other improvements like overhead music.
In a rededication ceremony Wednesday, Hospital Chaplain William Sayre (above photo)  blesses the refurbished gift shop with holy water.
Michelle Payne, hospital director of customer service, satisfaction and volunteer services, proposed the project idea to Kevin DeBraal, assistant vice president of administrative services, who was instrumental in securing funding. “These volunteers give up their time, effort and energy and it’s great that they have a place to showcase.”
The shop, which has been open since 1999. is run by the hospital Auxiliary. and brings in tens of thousands of dollars in revenue every year that helps fund patient services, according to the release.
