The wife of one of the three American doctors killed at a hospital in Afghanistan said today she harbors no ill will against the gunman. ABC News reports Dr. Jerry Umanos of Chicago devoted nearly a decade to poor Afghan children at a private hospital in Kabul run by a Christian aid group. His wife Jan Schuitema said her heart is aching but open to the people of Afghanistan, "we don't hold any ill will for the Afghan people or even the gunman who did this." The gunman is an Afghan policeman. Schuitema said her husband became a doctor so he could help people and she told reporters outside her Chicago home the need to help people in Afghanistan continues.
