Colfax Street at Main Street in Griffith has reportedly been reopened as NIPSCO crews have replaced a power pole that got hit by a truck in an early Wednesday morning accident, according to a traffic tipster. Griffith police closed the road until work on the pole the pole was finished. Meanwhile, the 100 block of S. Broad St. between Main St. and the Canadian National Railroad crossing continues to be closed to all vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle traffic for railroad reconstruction work.
