Animal cruelty charges will probably be forthcoming following the discovery of 74-rabbits stuffed inside stacked cages full of animal wastes in a Center Township garage. Published police reports say Porter County animal control officers visited a residence in the 1400 block of Redwing Road investigating a neighbor's June 23rd complaint of rabbits living in unsanitary conditions. Reportedly after no one answered the door sheriff's police officers spotted dozens of rabbit cages in the garage. A total of 74-rabbits were taken from the garage with one dying later, according to police. Charges are expected to be filed against the owner early next week.
