An Illinois farmer tells ABC News the soil is like sand.  About 60-percent of the American corn belt is said to be suffering drought conditions, with large areas of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Missouri in need of significant rain. Farmer Steve Pitstick tells ABC he's seen dry years,  1988 often comes to mind, but 2012 could be the biggest he's seen in his career
