Cedar Lake Police report there is a person of interest in custody and they expected to have charges filed within the next 24 to 36 hours in connection with the death of a man found inside a house in the 147-hundred block of Cline Avenue after crews were dispatched to a fire there around 8-o'clock Wednesday morning. Authorities say the fire appears to be of suspicious origin and is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal and local law enforcement. The Northwest Indiana Major Crimes Task Force was also asked to join the investigation. The victim's cause of death was pending an autopsy by the Lake County Coroners Office.
