Charges Filed in Cedar Lake Death

The Lake County Prosecutors office says charges of murder, burglary and arson were filed Friday against a 23-year-old Cedar Lake man, Anthony LaPorta, in connection with the death of his neighbor. Officials say the victim, identified as 32-year-old Adam Giordano, suffered fatal stab wounds and his body was found after crews responded to a fire at his house Wednesday morning.
