Nearly twenty-percent of the state is suffering the highest level on drought on the chart... the deepest red indicates exceptional drought, the red showing extreme drought, on the latest US Drought Monitor Map released Thursday. Here in the northwest corner, conditions are not as bad, though the Region is still considered to be in a moderate drought.
