Police say one suspect is dead and three others were taken into custody in Lake County after a home invasion in Porter County Wednesday afternoon. Sgt. Larry LaFlower of the Porter County Sheriff's police says just after 5 pm police received a 911 call regarding a break-in in the 100 South block of 450 West in Porter Township. The neighbor gave chase, police say, as the suspects fled west on US 30 into Hobart.  Multiple jurisdictions responded, and Lake County Sheriffs Police say the suspect vehicle crashed at Colorado Street, not far from Westfield Southlake Mall. Shots were fired at the neighbor, police say, who was struck in the hand. Three of four suspects were arrested in the 28-hundred block of East 80^th Avenue in Hobart. The fourth was pronounced dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
