A 19 year old Illinois man was convicted and sentenced Thursday for molesting a 12 year old child. Lake County Prosecutor Bernard Carter says Dominique Hayes pled guilty to the felony charge, and was sentenced to 17 years in prison at the Indiana Department of Corrections. Carter says the incident occurred while Hayes was visiting a family friend in East Chicago, on or about November 29, 2011.
