The Gary School system is looking for ways to remove four-point-eight-million dollars from the 2013 budget after a fifteen-percent drop in enrollment since last year. Reports say various options are being considered, including cuts in teachers, staff, and administrators along with reviewing utility, benefit and overtime costs.
