Region prep football teams are involved in sectional semi final action this evening. In class 5A, Chesterton is at Merrillville and Crown Point is at Lake Central. In 4A, Hobart is hosting Mishawaka, West Side is at Highland, Morton visits East Chicago Central, and New Prairie is at South Bend Washington. In the remaining classes, Boone Grove visits Andrean, Whiting hosts West Central, Calumet hosts South Bend St Joseph, Bowman Academy is at Rensselaer, North Judson is at Rochester and Bishop Noll visits Winamac.

Tomorrow area high school athletes will be involved in state cross-country competition, while Lake Central, Andrean and Marquette are among the area schools involved in girls volleyball semi-state action.
