Well if election day had been this past Tuesday, the inclement weather definitely could have reeked havoc on voters, but voting would have still taken place. Valarie Kroeger, with the Indiana Secretary of State Office, says an election and polling place preparedness guide has been distributed to the Election Security Task Force, county clerks, and election boards, so officials can promptly respond to any situation which could disrupt voting, by establishing alternate polling place locations, or allow extra ballots to be ready if a precinct had to be moved on the day of the election. Kroeger says the guideline created works as a template for each county to go by at the state level, so each county can meet its own unique needs.
