There were no injuries after a four-vehicle crash Wednesday near Winfield. The Lake County Sheriff's Office reports an investigation determined that an 18 year old Crown Point man was heading east along 109^th Avenue at Deer Creek Drive, when for an unknown reason, went into the westbound lane just before 7 that morning, where it struck a vehicle, and then continued westbound into another vehicle, which was then struck from behind by a vehicle in the westbound lane. Authorities say the 18 year old was cited for not having insurance, and that the man may have fallen asleep at the wheel prior to the collision.
