A 61 year old Center Township man may face only four-years behind bars in the drunk driving death of a motorcyclist, after pleading guilty to to the felony offense today. The Times reports David Corbett will be sentenced on January 3rd, and how long he is imprisoned depends on if the proposed plea agreement is accepted by Porter Superior Court Judge Roger Bradford. Published reports say Corbett reportedly ran a stop sign on westbound 600 West on June 21st, 2011, and struck and killed 61 year old Howard Schwartz of Rockville. The Times says Corbett has agreed to substance abuse treatment and to be part of a victim impact panel if given probation.
