A 21 year old Union Township man, who pleaded guilty in July to the felony charge of operating a motor vehicle with a controlled substance causing death, was sentenced Friday to four years in prison. The Times reports in July of 2011, Joseph Ruwaldt was allegedly driving on County Road 100 North, during the early morning hours, when he struck and killed retired banker, 62 year old Ronald Garry Bradley, also of Union Township, who was reportedly out jogging at the time of the incident. Published reports say Ruwaldt violated the terms of his probation back in January while awaiting trial, and so the judge sentenced him without suspension of any part of his sentence, but he will receive credit for 243 days served, and his driver's license will be suspended for three-years, retroactive to July 31st, 2011.
