A 32 year old man was hospitalized early this morning after being shot in Gary. Gary Police Corporal Gabrielle King says the man told police he was in the 42-hundred block of Harrison Street and got out of his vehicle, when two men approached and began to fight with him. Corporal King says the man told police he fought back, when one of the men pulled out a weapon and shot him. Corporal King says the man was reportedly able to flee the scene and pulled over on the two-hundred block of West 44^th Avenue, where he called 9-1-1 and was transported to Methodist Hospital for his injuries. Anyone with information is asked to call Gary Police.
