The Challenger Learning Center of Northwest Indiana is hosting Valentine's Day themed events this Saturday, February 9th. The center will feature a planetarium show, laser light show and a Valentine's themed couple's mission.
The planetarium show, Winter Sky Show and Perseus and Andromeda, will show participants what to look for on clear winter nights before the tale of the star-crossed lovers, Perseus and Andromeda, and their quest to be together. Planetarium shows begin at 2p.m. and 3:15p.m.
The laser light show will feature 35 minutes of songs from the Beatles. Laser Beatles! show times are 2:30p.m. and 3:50p.m. Cost for either show is $5 for adults and $3 for children. See both the planetarium show and laser light show at a discounted rate of $8 for adults and $5 for children.
To further celebrate Valentine's Day, the Challenger Learning Center will host a special Valentine's themed couple's mission. The mission, "Fly Your Sweetie to the Moon!", will have couples test their compatibility as they work together as a team to complete a mission to the moon. Once the mission is complete, couples will enjoy chocolate treats as they wind down from their lunar landing. The Valentine's couple's missions is $40 per couple, with missions beginning at 5:30p.m. and 7:30p.m.
