Published reports say a Region doctor arrested at his Valparaiso office last week on sexual misconduct and criminal deviate conduct charges has been released from his job at the Lake County Jail, where Dr. Jose Agusti worked for an outside contractor providing medical services to the facility. Police in Merrillville are reportedly reopening an investigation based on another allegation against the doctor.
