Drug Sweep at Portage HS

Portage Police Chief Troy Williams says a drug sweep at the high school is meant to send a message – that drugs won't be tolerated, especially in the schools. Eight K9's and their partners from the Portage, Porter County and Valparaiso Police Departments entered the school just after 8:30 this morning, sniffing lockers and backpacks, and in less than an hour, completed their sweep of one of the larger schools in the Region, finding no illegal substances.
