Sheen Seen Again at Porter Beach

Another sheen was reported on the waters of Lake Michigan's Porter Beach Wednesday afternoon. It's not known yet if yesterday's sheen was the same as a silvery, sticky substance spotted one month ago, to the day, off the the shoreline of the same northwest Indiana beach. On June 17, officials evacuated people from the water. Yesterday swimmers were reportedly not asked to leave. Officials say a preliminary lab analysis of the glittery sheen last month indicated the presence of a food additive, tricalcium orthophosphate, a common anti-caking agent.
