A joint operation between the Hammond Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff's Office resulted in a total of four arrests after decoy prostitutes were placed along the state line Tuesday, between Webb and Warren Streets. Hammond Police Chief Brian Miller says the operation was a complete success, with no injuries to 21 officers involved or the men arrested, one of which was reportedly driving a cable company truck. The Lake County Sheriff's Office reports, a 44 year old Lynwood, Illinois man, a 39 year old Calumet City, Illinois man, a 36 year old Lansing, Illinois man, and a 32 year old Lake Station man, have each been charged with patronizing a prostitute.
