Indiana State Police has announced a new District Commander of the Indiana Toll Road. ISP Superintendent Douglas Carter reports Sergeant Mike Young has been promoted to Lieutenant to serve as the Toll Road's District Commander. Lt. Young resides in Porter County with his family, and was assigned to the Toll Road where he worked Lake and Porter Counties for 12 years before being promoted to Corporal in 2002. He was then promoted again to the rank of Sergeant in 2005. Young has also worked as a Field training Officer for newly hired recruits, a Drug Recognition Expert and served on the North Zone Emergency Response Team for 12 years.
