Lawsuit Against State Board of Education Dismissed

A lawsuit by Indiana School Superintendent Glenda Ritz against members of the State Board of Education was dismissed today. The lawsuit alleged the board violated Indiana's open meetings law regarding the shifting of school grade calculations to a legislative agency. Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller challenged the lawsuit because it was done without his approval. State Board of Education members argued Ritz was taking too much time calculating the grades.
