Z-Hydrate Yourself Event

Annie's Blog

“Z-hydrate Yourself” this summer with 107.1 The Z!

-- Annie Fox will be at U.S. Steelyard on Thursday, August 22nd at 11am giving away re-usable 107.1  The Z water bottles (that's an hour before 1st pitch of the Railcats game)!

-- To get one, all you have to do is show up (but we'd prefer you  also bring along a disposable water bottle to trade in) and you'll get a  green-friendly, re-usable bottle to use forever and ever!

-- Did you know  that 66 million disposable bottles end up in landfills EVERY DAY?

-- Or that it takes over 17 million barrels of oil a year just to produce disposable water bottles?

-- NIRPC encourages all to make the switch to a re-usable water bottle to ease energy costs and landfill waste, which will in turn help with ozone problems!

-- Go green with 107.1 The Z and NIRPC this summer!

Melissa Fry, director of marketing for HootWinc, the west coast Hooters franchise, told the site.  “It's not a political move for us in any way, shape, or form.  We're strictly taking a stand for the fair treatment of women. At our franchise alone, we employ 1100 beautiful, talented women.”

WAS CHRISTIAN BALE OFFERED $50M TO PLAY BATMAN AGAIN?

Was Christian Bale offered $50 million by Warner Bros. to once again don The Dark Knight's cape and cowl?  That's the claim in a new unauthorized biography.  “Beyond Batman: The Unauthorized True Story of Christian Bale and His Dark Knight Dilemma” by Vince Russel purports that Bale, who previously denied he'd play Batman again, is considering both the acting career -- and bank account -- of Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr., who was reportedly paid the same amount for The Avengers.

BEAR TAKES LEFTOVER CHINESE IN HOME

A black bear broke into an Idaho house and licked leftover Chinese food from a cast iron pan on the stove.  David Edwards of Ketchum said his dog’s barking awakened him around 3 a.m. yesterday.  When he went to investigate what had his Irish setter-Lab mix so upset, he saw the bear on its hind legs, paws on the stove, licking a pan.  Edwards’ wife, Sara, had fallen asleep on the couch and his first instinct was to get his wife away from the kitchen area.  However, he said, “I couldn’t tell her there was a bear in the house because she would have just lost her mind.  She gets very upset over spiders.”  So he woke her up and led her into the bedroom without telling her about the furry dish washer.  Edwards went back into the kitchen to find the bear was gone and the pan was clean.
