FURNITURE STORE OWNER GLAD TO LOSE $7 MILLION SUPER BOWL BET

A Super Bowl bet has cost a Houston furniture store owner $7 million after the Seahawks defeated the Broncos. Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale said that he would give a full refund to customers who spent $6,000 or more at Gallery Furniture in the two weeks leading up to the game and had their orders delivered by 5 p.m. on Sunday. When the Seahawks delivered a victory on Sunday, McIngvale confirmed he would deliver on his promise with an announcement on the company’s website declaring “Customers Win $7,000,000.” “The accountant is pulling his hair out this morning, but the customers are happy and that’s what’s most important,” McIngvale said. McIngvale says while the accountant initially told him he was “crazy” for making the bet, he is confident it will pay in the long run for his business. “It worked for making the customer say ‘This guy does what he says he’s going to do,’” McIngvale said. He said over 1,000 customers will receive on average $7,000 in refunds from the promotion. He plans to deliver the refunds during a celebratory party at the store on Feb. 17.

BRUNO MARS SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW DRAWS LARGEST AUDIENCE EVER

Sorry, Madonna, but Bruno Mars has smashed your record. The Queen of Pop's 2011 Super Bowl halftime show had previously set an all-time viewing record of 114 million, but Bruno's show on Sunday, which also featured the Red Hot Chili Peppers, has bested it.  115.3 million viewers -- more than turned into the actual game itself -- caught the halftime show. By comparison, Beyonce's halftime show last year drew only 110.8 million viewers.

JENNIFER ANISTON VOTED OUR GLASSES STYLE ICON

Jennifer Aniston may be known for favoring the Little Black Dress on the red carpet, but it seems that her glasses come out top in the style stakes. The actress has been voted the top role model for wearing glasses as we move from the nerdy stereotypes to something a whole lot sexier. Eva Mendes came in close second in the poll, and if she can bag a man as hot as Ryan Gosling it's easy to see why she was voted. For men in specs, Michael Caine and Johnny Depp are the icons they most want to look like.

JERRY SEINFELD AND GEORGE COSTANZA REUNITE AT TOM'S RESTAURANT FOR SUPER BOWL HALFTIME

After weeks of speculation, we now finally know what Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander were doing at Tom's Restaurant in New York City, site of many epic scenes during Seinfeld's long-running sitcom. During halftime of the Super Bowl, fans were treated to a clever Seinfeld-esque dialogue between Seinfeld and Alexander's George Costanza character held at the restaurant, in which the pair recounts a time Costanza cheered too loud at a Super Bowl party and was banned from returning the following year. At the end, they are joined by Seinfeld's on-show nemesis and comedic foil, Newman. The ad was a promotion for a longer, 6-minute episode of Seinfeld's web series, "Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee," which is sponsored by Acura.

PUPPY LOVE”: 2014 AD METER WINNER

Budweiser's precious puppy has pranced off with the best-of-breed ribbon for Super Bowl commercials. For the second consecutive year — and the 12th time in the past 14 years — Anheuser-Busch has earned one the most coveted of U.S. advertising honors, winning USA TODAY's consumer-judged Ad Meter for Super Bowl commercials. The ad, about a spunky puppy who is adopted but keeps coming back home to the Clydesdale horse it loves, gave more than a passing creative nod to a Budweiser spot that won last year's Ad Meter, about a savvy horse that keeps returning to its trainer. For the 26th consecutive year, USA TODAY's Ad Meter reached out to consumers to vote for their favorite Super Bowl commercials.

The top five ads, as voted upon by this year's Ad Meter panel, including final ratings are:
1. Anheuser-Busch – Puppy Love – 8.29

2. Doritos – Cowboy Kid – 7.58

3. Budweiser – Hero's Welcome – 7.21

4. Doritos – Time Machine – 7.13

Radio Shack – Phone Call – 7.00

He also appeared in "Charlie Wilson's War," "Doubt," and "The Master," for which he was nominated as best supporting actor.

The big game has come and gone... forget the game let's talk commercials! Overall, there weren't that many that stood out to me! Overall, I loved the Doritos Time Machine (above), thought the Tim Tebow T-Mobile commercials were clever, and of course loved the Budweiser dog commercial. What do you think?
