Homemade Halloween

Yesterday, I spent hours with my mom doing what we do best... making halloween decorations. You see Halloween is a BIG DEAL in my family. Growing up my mom would always plan these elaborate Haunted Houses in our basement. From the spagetti guts, to the corn maze, to the chainsaw wielding killer chasing you down the alley she had horror covered. (So much so my sister still thinks our basement is haunted!)

As kids, we always were a part of the supply gathering process. I can remember one year she gave us all a garbage bag and told us not to come back till it was completely filled with leaves. Once we were all back, she proceeded to dump the bags throughout the basement for the right sound effect! (My dad wasn't too happy!) Or when she piled us in the bed of a pickup and we drove out to a corn field to "borrow" some corn stalks to build a corn maze. (Later that corn maze would set the backyard on fire, but that's another story!)

Now it is my turn to take over the tradition. Rob has already warned me he won't be a part of my shinannigans, but that hasn't slowed me down! I cannot wait till we have kids, so we can make our own basement haunted house! I guess this year I'll have to settle for the best front yard graveyard scene on the block! To be continued...

A dating website with a difference has been set up - for lonely hearts that have stopped beating. GhostSingles.com has some stunning profiles of potential love interests for the dead. An easy-to-use search feature allows you to choose between ghosts of people who have died horribly, mysteriously, tragically or suddenly. The website even has a Chat Now feature but warns that the living are strictly banned from the site, along with zombies and vampires.

Seven years after being named Esquire magazine's sexiest woman alive, Scarlett Johansson has earned the title for a second time. Johansson, who also won in 2006, is the first woman to get the honor twice.  The actress celebrated the accolade with a cover shoot for the popular glossy monthly. Last year's winner was Black Swan actress Mila Kunis. Johansson jokingly tells the magazine she's “gotta hustle” and “pretty soon the roles you're offered all become mothers. Then they just sort of stop.”

I always sing live. It doesn't sound so great all the time, but I do my best.” An insider previously revealed that Brit and her team have given staff - who will have to sign a confidentiality agreement - a detailed cheat sheet with strict instructions about how to respond to concerns or queries ahead of the star's Britney: Piece of Me show at Planet Hollywood.
