Annie was born and raised in Northwest Indiana with her younger sister and parents in Hammond. After spending some time out of the area chasing the radio dream she has moved back to start a family with her two main men: Jager the mutt and fiance Rob. When she is not on the air Annie enjoys cheering her favorite Chicago sports teams (Da Bears, Da Bulls, And Da Sox), hiking, and exploring new fairs and festivals! (Anything Deep Fried she's in!) Annie cannot wait to share her life with you on air and is excited to be back in the Region doing what she loves!

Randy Travis is in critical condition after suffering from complications stemming from viral cardiomyopathy. Travis was admitted to a hospital in Texas yesterday. According to the Mayo Clinic, cardiomyopathy is a "disease that weakens and enlarges your heart muscle." Cardiomyopathy can lead to heart failure.  According to the Mayo Clinic, the condition can be caused by many factors including long-term high blood pressure and excessive use of alcohol over many years...thought it's unclear if any of those factors contributed to Randy's condition.


Amanda Bynes has lashed out at the president and first lady of the United States. The troubled former actress - who has worried friends and family with a series of bizarre antics including disturbing tweets and legal troubles - insulted Barack and Michelle Obama in a new Twitter post, where she called them ''ugly.'' She wrote: ''Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are ugly!'' However, the couple are not the only high profile victims of 27-year-old Amanda's wrath, last month, in a post on the micro-blogging site, which has since been deleted, Amanda also called Zac Efron ugly. She wrote: ''@ZacEfron has an ugly face (sic).''


Paula Abdul has signed up to guest judge So You Think You Can Dance this week. The former American Idol star will join the panel on tonight’s episode on Fox.

The Indiana Dunes National Lake shore boasts several things to do during the summer, parking is $6.00 per vehicle but after that it is just a trip through the sand, surf, and nature. Build a sandcastle on the shores of Lake Michigan, hike Mount Baldy and other trails, you can also visit historic sites such as Chellburg Farm and the Bailey Homestead. Nestled away in La Porte is one of our local apple orchards which hold Upick strawberries in the summer and apples in the fall. They also have a farmers market that operates all summer in conjunction with the U-pick fields.

A surfer was knocked unconscious by a 15-metre whale at Sydney's Bondi Beach yesterday. Bishan Rajapakse was with around 20 surfers when the animal - thought to have weighed 50 tons - came too close, flicked its tail and knocked the 38-year-old doctor off his board. He lost consciousness for about ten seconds and was helped by fellow surfers back to the beach, where lifeguards and paramedics treated him.

Central Park Plaza-Valparaiso

Sitting downtown on the corner of Lincoln Way and Lafayette Street is Central Park Plaza which has fun for the whole family. With a splash pad for the kids as well as weekly movies on Tuesday nights, it provides fun for all ages. It holds various events all summer, including a farmers market, musical events, and many others that can be viewed on their website. So go have a staring contest with the Orville Redenbacher statue that sits watching downtown or enjoy looking at the scenery as you take a stroll around the park after seeing everything else downtown Valpo has to offer. Sitting just outside of downtown Valpo this small park offers a great experience to stop and smell the roses. Compete with rose garden, gazebo ringed with beautiful foliage, and also a Japanese garden complete with Carp. It is open year round and there is room to have a picnic on the grass, it is a great place to spend time with family and also look at the scenic views the surround you where ever you look.
