Yesterday went to the Taste of Chicago to see the free Dierks Bentley concert and boy was it HOTT!!!! I think I may have had more fun people watching than seeing what was on stage! There was this group of couples in front of us putting on quite a show! At one point a guy dumped a full beer all over his girl and then proceeded to drop her in the trash can! Here's an after the concert pic of him!

I bring this up cause have you heard of the mom suing Justin Bieber for damaging her hearing at one of his concerts! She said the screams from his fans were too loud to go along with his music! DUH! (Check Out More Here) Do you think she has a case?

We are under a Heat Advisory for most of the Region through at least tomorrow as temps could break the century mark! YUCK! Make sure to check on your neighbors and keep an eye on kids and pets as they play in the heat the next couple of days. If you need a break from the temps and you don't have an A/C you can Click Here for a list of cooling centers across the state!

This is my favorite time of year.. Summer Fest Season! Already, kicked it off last weekend with my first trip to the Corn Roast in Crown Point and the Portage Township Summerfest! This weekend is stacked with great events as well:

On Friday, the festivities fire up again with the newly combined three-day Taste of the Region and the 38th annual Arts and Crafts Festival around the Old Lake County Courthouse.

More than 80 arts-and-crafters take over the lawn of the old courthouse while more than 40 restaurants and caterers serve their specialties on the surrounding streets. Taste hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 24.

At 6 p.m. Friday, the Marriage Mill Celebration on the courthouse east steps pays homage to Crown Point’s unique position as the place to tie the knot from 1915 to 1940. With no blood tests or waiting periods required, celebs from Rudolph Valentino to Ronald Reagan were among those 175,000 couples who flocked to the city to say “I do."

Families are invited for a paddling/hiking day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Robinson Lake. Learn the basics of canoing and kayaking such as getting in an out of the watercraft, how to launch, paddling techniques and water safety from experienced paddlers. A limited number of canoes and kayaks with life jackets will be available or participants can bring their own.

Today to Sunday the 24th, 8435 Calumet Avenue, Munster. The annual festival returns for its 21st year with bingo, food, live entertainment, beer garden, games and rides. FYI: www.stmfundays.com

Today to Sunday the 24th, at Redar Park, Austin and Gregory Streets. The 21st annual fest will have food, a beer garden, carnival rides, live music and more. FYI: www.schererville.org

What will you be checking out this weekend?
