Annie was born and raised in Northwest Indiana with her younger sister and parents in Hammond. After spending some time out of the area chasing the radio dream she has moved back to start a family with her two main men: Jager the mutt and fiance Rob. When she is not on the air Annie enjoys cheering her favorite Chicago sports teams (Da Bears, Da Bulls, And Da Sox), hiking, and exploring new fairs and festivals! (Anything Deep Fried she's in!) Annie cannot wait to share her life with you on air and is excited to be back in the Region doing what she loves!
Oh my goodness how did Easter sneak up on us so quickly? I'm always a little kid when it comes to Easter egg hunts... my mom still makes them for us! Although, last year she made one for the dogs in the backyard! Here's a quick look at some events going on locally this weekend! (Thanks to Jay for the info!)

Welcome back to the work week!!! Doesn't everyone just love Monday's? My sleep schedule usually isn't back on track to at least Wednesday and then it gets messed up all over again on Friday! (2:30am just isn't a natural time to wake up!) I'm especially messed up this morning cause I spent the weekend in Indy with my niece Camry who's 2 going on 16 with her new attitude!
Thought it was crazy just how much kids are drawn to smart phones, she kept asking to play games on my phone! Are your kids like this? That and they were in love with the Micheal Jackson Wii Dance game... they even knew more MJ song's than I did! Although, it was kinda strange seeing a group of kids all under 7 do the MJ crotch grab!
On the adult side, I have been introduced to the App Draw Something. Have you tried this yet? I keep trying to stay off it... it took me forever to ween myself off Words With Friends when it first came out! Do you have any suggestions for addicting apps? Do you have a favorite?
Here's To A Good Week!
12:01am is a very special time if you are a fan of Hunger Games, the first movie in the series will premier in theaters nationwide tonight. Have you ever camped out for a midnight showing of a movie? I don't think I have ever been passionate about a movie enough to pack into a crowded theater at midnight to see a movie I can wait a week to see more comfortably! (Is that the crabby old lady coming out in me again?)
That being said, I should point out I rarely go to the theater anyway! I also can't seem to get into these big movie franchises... never saw a Star Wars, Twilight, or Harry Potter movie! (Seen parts, but never a whole movie) What is your favorite movie franchise? Gotta say I am most excited about checking out the Drive In this summer, wonder if they're any good summer blockbusters to expect besides Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter!?!
Enjoy your last day in the 80s!
“When you see this movie, kids are going to believe, one day, that these turtles actually do exist when we are done with this movie. These turtles are from an alien race and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely lovable.”
That's a direct quote from Michael Bay on his take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (read the full story here)... Do us a favor buddy and stay away from our classic franchise! I grew up watching the original Ninja Turtles cartoon and movies, spending hours trying to beat their Nintendo games, and fighting with the other girls in my preschool class to be April on the playground. Consider me a Ninja Turtles expert and my expert opinion is Michael Bay is going to RUIN our favorite heroes in a half shell!
Do you think taking the story to the alien level will make it better? Maybe my dislike for Michael Bay is getting in the way of the big picture? Do kids even still watch TMNT? Anyway I digress!
Gotta go find me some pizza!
Came across this article on Yahoo! listing the best playgrounds across the country and it made me think of the playgrounds around our area. Do you have a favorite to take the kids to? We have had the perfect weather the past couple of weeks to take advantage of the many great parks we have here in the Region. Kinda scary that it is still technically winter!
Growing up I can remember how cool Penny Park was once it got its new zipline! We would beg our moms to let us ride our bikes to the park! We would spend hours playing “don't touch the lava”, come back all dirty, and do it all over again the next day! What was your favorite? ( I could go for a ride on a nice tire swing!)
Let's keep our fingers crossed this nice weather sticks around for Spring!
