GUY FINDS EMMY AWARD IN TRASH
A New York man who found what he believes to be a legitimate Emmy award in box of trash said he wants to find the rightful owners. Ismael Cekic said he found the golden statuette in a box full of trash in front of a home in his Brooklyn neighborhood and he did not realize what it was until he saw the Emmy Awards ceremony on TV. "This thing sticking out looked so cool. I dusted it off and I'll take this home," Cekic said. "Next thing you know I'm watching the Emmys and they show an Emmy award and I'm looking at my coffee table. I'm doing back takes. What the hell? It's an Emmy award," he said. He said the Emmy is believed to be a trophy from the 1950s, but the band on its base that would reveal who it was given to is missing.
