Annie was born and raised in Northwest Indiana with her younger sister and parents in Hammond. After spending some time out of the area chasing the radio dream she has moved back to start a family with her two main men: Jager the mutt and fiance Rob. When she is not on the air Annie enjoys cheering her favorite Chicago sports teams (Da Bears, Da Bulls, And Da Sox), hiking, and exploring new fairs and festivals! (Anything Deep Fried she's in!) Annie cannot wait to share her life with you on air and is excited to be back in the Region doing what she loves!
Tonight is National Night Out... This night is designed to heighten crime prevention awareness and to promote police-community partnerships. Will you be taking part in any events tonight? We have plenty of events going on around the Region (Thanks to The Times):
CELEBRATION OF PEACE CONTINUES
EAST CHICAGO | The city will host National Night Out from 5 to 10 p.m. at Washington Park Pool. A workshop will be held Thursday at the Pastrick library branch on parenting to prevent bullying. That workshop also will begin at 5:30 p.m
HAMMOND NATIONAL NIGHT OUT SET
Hammond and local crime/community watch groups will host National Night Out at the Wolf Lake Splash Pad. National Night Out is from 5 to 8 p.m. at the splash pad, 121st Street and Calumet Avenue.
Admission to the event is free with a donation of cat/dog food, cat litter, bleach, blankets or pet treats for Hammond Animal Control. The event, aimed at promoting drug and crime prevention in the community, will feature free pontoon boat rides, face painting and temporary tattoos for children and a canine demonstration. Free hot dogs, chips and pop will be provided with donation.
