Annie was born and raised in Northwest Indiana with her younger sister and parents in Hammond. After spending some time out of the area chasing the radio dream she has moved back to start a family with her two main men: Jager the mutt and fiance Rob. When she is not on the air Annie enjoys cheering her favorite Chicago sports teams (Da Bears, Da Bulls, And Da Sox), hiking, and exploring new fairs and festivals! (Anything Deep Fried she's in!) Annie cannot wait to share her life with you on air and is excited to be back in the Region doing what she loves!
Yesterday, I spent hours with my mom doing what we do best... making halloween decorations. You see Halloween is a BIG DEAL in my family. Growing up my mom would always plan these elaborate Haunted Houses in our basement. From the spagetti guts, to the corn maze, to the chainsaw wielding killer chasing you down the alley she had horror covered. (So much so my sister still thinks our basement is haunted!)
As kids, we always were a part of the supply gathering process. I can remember one year she gave us all a garbage bag and told us not to come back till it was completely filled with leaves. Once we were all back, she proceeded to dump the bags throughout the basement for the right sound effect! (My dad wasn't too happy!) Or when she piled us in the bed of a pickup and we drove out to a corn field to "borrow" some corn stalks to build a corn maze. (Later that corn maze would set the backyard on fire, but that's another story!)
Now it is my turn to take over the tradition. Rob has already warned me he won't be a part of my shinannigans, but that hasn't slowed me down! I cannot wait till we have kids, so we can make our own basement haunted house! I guess this year I'll have to settle for the best front yard graveyard scene on the block! To be continued...
