JOE BIDEN TURNS DOWN CONNECTICUT TEEN'S PROM INVITATION..BUT SENDS HER A CORSAGE AND INVITES HER TO THE WHITE HOUSE

Vice President Joe Biden turned down a Connecticut teenager's prom invitation - but instead sent her a corsage and invited her to the White House.  Talia Maselli, 18, wrote a letter to Biden seven months ago inviting him to be her date and edge out any competition. “I am inviting you so far in advance because I'm sure many 17-year-old girls send you prom invitations, and I had to beat them to it,” she wrote. “I could only tolerate a high school dance if I was to be escorted by the most delightful man in America.” Biden was unable to attend - but he had a handpicked corsage and handwritten note sent to her home the day before the big dance.  “I am flattered, but my schedule will not permit me to be in Connecticut on Friday evening,” the note read. “But I hope you will accept this corsage and enjoy your prom as much as I did mine.”

BRAD PITT READY TO SIGN DEAL TO STAR IN “TRUE DETECTIVE” SEASON 2?

There’s been rumors buzzing around that Brad Pitt is set to star in True Detective season 2 since, well, True Detective season 1 ended. The show was an international success, with both Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey highly praised for their roles as detectives Rust Cohle and Marty Hart. It was unusual to see two such high profile actors taking time from their busy movie schedules to indulge in a little HBO series, but it sure did pay off. So, it’s no surprise that Brad Pitt potentially wants a piece of the True Detective pie. Since March, he’s been the bookie’s favorite to join the cast of the show, and the Latin Post is now reporting that Pitt is close to signing off on the deal.

DANCING WITH THE STARS RESULTS

Part one of the “Dancing with the Stars” finale ended last night with a heartbreaking elimination to reveal the Final 3. So, whose quest for the Mirror Ball came to a premature end? Ultimately, James Maslow & Peta Murgatroyd were eliminated.

The couple had scored a 58 out of 60 last night, much higher than Bure’s 51, which means fan votes likely put her and Ballas over the edge. Now Purdy (59 points), Davis (60 points), and Bure will all compete to get that sparkling trophy when the finale continues tonight.
