A seed company and greeting card company in Indiana are closing, according to official notices made to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. Sunrise Greeting Cards, founded in Bloomington in 1974, was acquired by Hallmark over a decade ago, and the remaining downstate facility is being shut down. That'll effect 93 Hoosier jobs. In Fremont Indiana, company officials say the Ferry-Morse Seed Company plant will be closed by the end of the year. Ferry-Morse was purchased by Seed Holdings last month. Ferry-Morse was founded in Detroit in 1856, and later moved operations to Tennessee.
