Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson said at her very first Mayor's Leadership Prayer Breakfast on Monday that each morning she gives thanks to “God's blessings to the city.” She said better days are ahead for the challenged city and , echoing a campaign promise, “Gary will be the comeback story of the rust belt,” according to the Post Trib online. The breakfast co-sponsored by the Gary Lutheran Association and the city, was held at the Genesis Center.
