Accident Shuts Down Borman

[Photo submitted by listener]... UPDATE 830AM CDT... Serious crash on the eastbound Borman [I-80/94] just east of Cline shut everything down in that location early this morning, causing a huge back-up into Illinois. There are reports of lengthy delays on US 41 thru Highland and Schererville and US 30 Schererville and Dyer as motorists look for alternate routes.

Indiana State Police Lowell Post say one person was airlifted from the scene of the accident, which happened around 3am, and there was extended delay because of extrication.  Indiana State Police say there was also a massive amount of debris that was strewn about from the crash.

As of about 8:30 this morning, police reported all lanes west bound open but a huge gapers delay remained westbound. Eastbound,  inner shoulder and left lane open.
