Town officials say unforeseen construction issues relating to sewer work on South Broad Street has extended a road closure in Griffith by just over a week. South Broad St. between Main Street and the Canadian National Railroad crossing will remain closed to all vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle traffic until 4pm Saturday June 30th.
Downtown businesses will be open, and parking in 100 block of outh. Broad will be available behind each business via the West Main Street alley-way. Businesses located south of the railroad crossing will also be open. North and south detour routes are posted. Truck traffic must use the Colfax Avenue detour.
