Power outages continue to affect parts of Merrillville and Gary today after severe storms Thursday. Plus, crews are still addressing storm damage.... motorists are advised that the light at the busy intersection of 61^st and Broadway in Merrillville will be out for an extended time today because it was struck by lightning and crews are having to make repairs. Other traffic lights that were out in Merrillville this morning were at 57th and Cleveland, 57th and Madison, and 57th and Broadway.
