Reports say a 20-year-old Union Township man has pleaded guilty to one count of operating a motor vehicle with a controlled substance, causing the death of another person, in connection with a crash that claimed the life of a 62-year-old retired Lake County businessman jogging along a Porter County road west of Valparaiso last July. The victim, R. Garry Bradley, was Valparaiso Mayor Jon Costas' brother-in-law and former President of Bank Calumet.
